Midwives like to educate. We teach our clients, mentor newly practicing midwives, and help students learn midwifery. Being an effective educator and administering a successful school require additional specific knowledge, skills, resources and support – and that’s AME’s role.
BECOME A MEMBER
AME welcomes all midwifery educators, schools and institutions – whether accredited or not. If you have students in your midwifery practice, teach in a classroom or online, help manage a school, if you want to help birth the midwives of tomorrow, we need you!

- Members receive “Giving Birth to Midwives” a regular newsletter providing practical information and resources to educators and administrators

Categories of membership:
- Individual member: Faculty, preceptors, administrative and staff for a midwifery education program. Cost: $45.00/ year
- Institutional member: A midwifery program or institution. Cost on a sliding scale:
small (1-3 users) $150.00/ year
mid-sized (4-12 users) $200.00/year
large (13+ users) $300.00/year - Supporting member: Any individual or organization that supports the work of AME. Cost: $35.00/year
- Newsletter only (no charter discount) $25.00/year
